Apostle Tyrone Smith
"A Man With A God-given Vision"
Tyrone Smith is Pastor of The Next Generation of Original Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church. He received his license to preach under the leadership of Bishop Paul S. Morton and was ordained an elder by Pastor Leon Senegar who served as Pastor of the Original Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church.
Preceding Hurricane Katrina Pastor Smith served as Pastor of Fairview Missionary Baptist Church, due to the storm's devastation to that church, Pastor Smith was asked to serve as Pastor of Original Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church where he has grown the ministry from seven people returning from the storm to over 400 members.
Over the years the church has gone through trials and tribulations, but as the saying goes, "Still it stands."
Pastor Smith followed God's vision expanding and relocating the church. After 2 years of fundraisers, the members of Original Morning Star FGBC purchased their new building located at 3536 St. Ferdinand Street, New Orleans, LA, giving birth to our new church name ..... Next Generation of Original Morning Star Full Gospel Baptist Church.

TYRONE SMITH, SENIOR PASTOR
Next Generation began a new legacy and the vision is to help "Rebuild and Restore Lives". In doing so, Pastor Smith has trained over 25 ministers/elders and formed over 16 auxiliary ministries. Because of Pastor's Smith leadership, Next Generation has a powerful thriving men's ministry. He was also instrumental in co-founding 72 hours+ an organization dedicated to assisting ex-convicts to integrate back into society. In March of 2016, Pastor Smith was called to pastor "The Estates" ministry located in the Desire neighborhood.
The devil never rests; neither does the Next Generation ministry. We know the importance of family and we know that sometimes the spiritual side can get confusing and complicated, but we remain steadfast in assisting our congregants walking with them through the process of getting to know a God who can. Pastor Smith was born to Annie and Ben Smith, November 26, 1953, on Thanksgiving Day. He is married to First Lady Cassandra Smith; they have two daughters and three grandchildren.
Pastor Smith is just trying to tell everybody, about somebody who can save anybody and that is Jesus Christ.
